Nonprofit founder Lyle Benjamin created MassageMate24 to make drug-free foot therapy accessible anytime, anywhere.

For less than the cost of a single therapy session, you now have the ability to find relief 24 hours a day, on your own terms.”

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Foot pain affects nearly eight in ten Americans, according to survey data from the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), and its toll extends well beyond the feet. APMA data shows 83% of sufferers say foot pain limits their daily activities, 72% report disrupted sleep, and 34% say it reduces their overall quality of life. The financial burden compounds the physical one: sufferers spend an average of $228 per month on foot pain relief, according to KURU Footwear, while chronic pain broadly — of which foot pain is a significant contributor — costs the U.S. economy as much as $635 billion annually in health care spending and lost workplace productivity, according to research published in The Journal of Pain.

The consequences are especially serious for older adults. Research published in Gerontology has linked severe foot pain to more than triple the risk of recurrent falls, and more than 30% of adults 65 and older fall at least once a year — a figure that rises to 40% among those 75 and older. Falls remain a leading cause of injury, hospitalization and loss of independence in the elderly. Service workers who spend long shifts on their feet and athletes managing recovery are also disproportionately affected.

Traditional treatment options — physical therapy, medication and in-clinic devices — can be effective but are often costly and difficult to access on a daily basis. Physical therapy sessions commonly run $150 or more per visit, and many patients are limited by insurance to a set number of sessions per year, leaving gaps in care between appointments.

MassageMate24™ was created to help fill that gap. It is a hands-free, wearable foot massage sleeve made from FDA-certified food-grade silicone (FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 — the same material standard used in baby bottle nipples) that a user slips on over a sock and uses to apply reflexology-inspired pressure to the foot and lower leg. The sleeve is lined with more than 400 precisely engineered nubs designed to deliver 360-degree coverage across the arch, heel, ball of the foot, toes, ankle, calf and shin.

Unlike scheduled therapy sessions, MassageMate24 is designed for on-demand use — at home, at work, or while traveling — without an appointment, a prescription or ongoing cost per use. The device is BPA-free, phthalate-free, latex-free and hypoallergenic, and is backed by a 12-month warranty and replacement guarantee.

MassageMate24 is also available in bulk to hospitals, clinics, sports teams and corporate wellness programs, allowing organizations to extend self-administered relief to patients, athletes and employees between visits.

“For less than the cost of a single therapy session, you now have the ability to find relief 24 hours a day — targeting exactly the areas you choose, on your own terms, at your own level of intensity,” said Lyle Benjamin, founder of One Planet One People and creator of MassageMate24.

Benjamin developed MassageMate24 following his own experience with chronic foot and leg pain after surgery, which led to a diagnosis of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). He has said the high cost and limited availability of professional treatment during his own recovery shaped his goal of building an accessible, self-administered option that others could use between clinical visits.

“As a medical device representative who has worked with patients for twenty plus years, MassageMate24 is really a game-changing breakthrough,” said Saverio Salcfas, a medical device representative with more than 20 years of experience. “It's available at a fraction of the price, can work around the clock, and has the potential to equal or out-perform devices costing much, much more.”

MassageMate24 is classified as a Premium Wellness Device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any disease or medical condition. Individuals with pre-existing health conditions are advised to consult a licensed healthcare provider before use, and individual results may vary.

Through the company's Give-One program, One Planet One People donates one MassageMate24 unit at no cost — to a veteran service organization or elder care facility — for every ten units purchased, extending relief to those who may not otherwise have access to it.

MassageMate24 is distributed in the United States and the United Kingdom, with One Planet One People's headquarters based in New York.
